Over the past weeks we have received so much help from several wonderful volunteers. Loes van Hapert a student from Utrecht, the Netherlands volunteered her help in our sewing program. Romy Claus also from the Netherlands volunteered at Nyakato food where our harvested food is processed.\u00a0 And last but not least Ayla Emmink, a medical student from Utrecht, the Netherlands volunteered by performing health checks on our girls. Read all about Ayla&#8217;s experience here:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I am Ayla, a final year medical student from the Netherlands. Currently I am staying in Magu town, Mwanza region, Tanzania mainly to conduct scientific research. My research is focussed on a project aiming to improve maternal health with a community based aproach [<a href=\"http:\/\/africanwomanalliance.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">africanwomanalliance.org<\/a>]. In my spare time I try to help wherever I can and found some voluntary jobs in Mwanza. Running a medical programme with healthcheck and basis treatment for streetkids to start with [<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\">www.<a href=\"http:\/\/rootsandculturefoundation.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">rootsandculturefoundatio<wbr \/>n.org\/about\/<\/span><\/a><\/span>]. A couple of weeks ago I was lucky to meet mama Dorocella, the founder of Foundation DART. As we came in conversation I was impressed by her powerfull position in life and how she runs both sucessfull business and protects the girls with her NGO. She inspired me to perform a healthcheck for her girls also, looking for lowcost and sustainable ways to cure anything that was ailing them.
